The Zodiac Ei® is an express salt water chlorinator designed for swimming pools, offering a convenient and efficient way to maintain soft, pure water. It produces disinfectant directly from its Ei® cell, ensuring optimal disinfection even when the user is away. The system is designed for quick and easy installation, which can be completed in less than 10 minutes using the Quick Fix NO PLUMBING system. The cell can be installed either horizontally or vertically.
Function Description
The Zodiac Ei® operates on the principle of salt water chlorination, where the pool water is made slightly salty (approximately 4 g/l, which is 9 times less than sea water). The salt water chlorinator is integrated into the pool's filtration system. Within the Ei® cell, the salt is converted into chlorine, a powerful disinfectant that is immediately dissolved in the water. This produced chlorine actively fights against bacteria, algae, and micro-organisms. The system continuously renews the chlorine that is naturally eliminated by the UV effects of sunlight, without requiring further intervention from the user. The Ei® is adaptable to all types of swimming pools and pool surfaces, suitable for both existing pools and those with small technical facilities.

The Zodiac Ei® is available in three models: Ei® 10, Ei® 17, and Ei® 25, each offering different chlorine production capacities and suitable for varying pool volumes (calculated for 8 hours of filtration):
