Overview

This document describes the Zokop YPE-12C Portable Air Conditioner, providing detailed information on its function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The Zokop YPE-12C is a portable air conditioner designed for household use. It offers multiple operating modes including COOL, DEHUMIDIFY, and FAN, allowing users to adjust the indoor climate according to their preferences. The device is equipped with a control panel and a remote control for convenient operation. It features a timer function for scheduled operation and a sleep mode for optimized comfort during rest. The air conditioner is designed to be mobile, featuring corner wheels for easy relocation. It includes an exhaust pipe system for expelling hot air, which can be installed through a window using a seal plate.

Important Technical Specifications:

The exhaust pipe is adjustable in length, ranging from 60cm to 170cm (including the adapter), with a recommended minimum length for energy saving. The air conditioner requires a minimum clearance of 50cm from surrounding objects for proper air circulation. The window seal plate is designed to fit most standard horizontal or vertical windows. The temperature setting range in COOL mode is 16~30°C (64–86°F). The device operates with different fan speeds: HIGH, MID, and LOW. In case of a full water pan, the unit will stop operation and display a "WATER FULL" indicator with an audible alarm, requiring manual drainage.

Usage Features:

  • Control Panel and Remote Control: Both interfaces allow users to turn the unit on/off, select operating modes (COOL, DEHUMIDIFY, FAN), adjust temperature (in COOL mode), set the timer, and control fan speed.
  • Temperature Adjustment: In COOL mode, the temperature can be adjusted in 1°C or 1°F increments within the 16~30°C (64–86°F) range. The display shows the set temperature in COOL modes and room temperature in FAN and DEHUMIDIFY modes.
  • Timer Function: The timer can be set for both "timer on" and "timer off" operations, ranging from 1 to 24 hours. When setting the timer, the display flickers "00" for 5 times, and users can adjust the time using the UP/DOWN buttons.
  • Fan Speed: Three fan speeds (HIGH, MID, LOW) are available. In FAN mode, pressing the SPEED button for 5 seconds activates an internal dry function, and pressing it again for 5 seconds cancels it.
  • Sleep Mode: This mode can be activated via the remote control (or by pressing UP and TIMER simultaneously on the control panel). In sleep mode, both upper and lower fans are set to LOW speed, and the unit automatically turns off after approximately 7 hours.
  • Swing Function: The deflector can be set to swing by pressing the SWING button on the remote control, or by pressing the Timer and Speed buttons simultaneously on the control panel for 2 seconds.
  • Unit Conversion: The temperature display can be switched between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) by pressing UP and DOWN simultaneously on the control panel, or by pressing the °C/°F button on the remote control.
  • Installation: The air conditioner should be placed on a flat, dry surface with at least 50cm clearance around it. The exhaust pipe connects to the unit and a window seal plate, which is then installed in the nearest window. Obstacles within 50cm of the window should be cleared to ensure unimpeded air exhaust.
  • Drainage: When the water pan is full, the unit stops and signals for drainage. Water can be drained by unscrewing a nut and pulling out the water plug. The unit should be moved steadily to a suitable drainage location (e.g., toilet or sewer) to prevent overflow.

Maintenance Features:

  • Surface Cleaning: The surface of the air conditioner should be cleaned with a duster or a semi-wet soft cloth. Chemical solvents like benzene, alcohol, or gasoline should not be used as they can damage the unit.
  • Strainer Cleaning: The strainers should be cleaned every two weeks, especially with prolonged use, to prevent dust blockage and maintain efficiency. To clean, pull out the strainers, wash them in warm water with neutral detergent (around 40°C), and then dry them in a shaded place before reinstalling. Strainer 2 should be removed before Strainer 1, and Strainer 1 should be installed before Strainer 2.
  • Postseason Storage: For long-term storage, all water should be drained from the unit. The air conditioner should then be run in FAN mode for 2-3 hours to dry the interior and prevent mildew. After turning off and unplugging, the power line should be wound up, the exhaust pipe removed and stored properly, and the unit placed in a plastic bag in a dry location. Batteries should be removed from the remote control.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as power failure, poor cooling, and excessive noise, along with corresponding solutions. It also lists error codes (E1, E2, E4, FL) and their meanings. In case of serious abnormalities (e.g., frequent fuse breakage, overheating power line, abnormal odor), users are advised to shut down the unit, unplug it, and contact a professional electrician.
