Unplugging the Modem
If you unplug the cable modem or if power is lost for any reason,
all communication between the modem and the cable system is
terminated. When the power is restored, the modem must go
through the synchronization process before you can connect to the
Internet. This process takes place automatically when you turn the
modem on.
Note: If your cable TV service is interrupted, your cable modem
service may also be interrupted. Refer to the
Troubleshooting
section of this manual for advice.
