Usage Features
Installation:
The installation process involves connecting the router to a power source and a broadband port.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the router's POWER port and then into a power outlet.
- Connect WAN: Use an RJ-45 network cable to connect the router's WAN port to the broadband port (e.g., from a modem or network cable jack).
- Wired Connections: Connect PCs or laptops to the router's LAN ports using RJ-45 network cables if wired access is desired.
- Wireless Connections: Mobile phones and laptops can connect to the router via Wi-Fi.
Router Setup (via ZLife Lite App):
- Download App: Install the ZLife Lite app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Add Device: Open the app and tap "Add device."
- Select Device Type: Choose "Wi-Fi Router" from the list of ZTE devices.
- Connect WAN Port: Ensure the WAN port is connected to the broadband port. The router's LED should turn solid green after power-on and WAN connection.
- Scan QR Code / Manual Entry:
- Scan the QR code located at the bottom of the router.
- If no QR code is present, or if preferred, manually enter the wireless account (SSID) and password.
- Note for Android users: Manual Wi-Fi connection might be required after scanning the QR code due to Android security requirements. The app offers a "copy password" option to simplify this.
- Configure Network: After successful scanning/entry, the "Configure network" screen will appear. Tap "Bind immediately." The LED indicator will turn green and steady, indicating successful configuration.
Mesh Network Setup (for multiple E1320 routers):
This feature is for deploying multiple E1320 routers to create a mesh network.
