Toexpandthecapacity,performthefollowingsteps:
1.ConrmtheNEversion.
IftheNEversioniscompatible,performthenextstepdirectly.IftheNEversionneeds
tobeupgraded,upgradetheNEversionrst.
2.BackupNEdataandthesoftwareversions.
3.Expandacard.
Cooperatewiththeoperator’personnelandtheconstructionpersonneltoinstallthe
deviceandgivenecessaryinstallationguidance.Payattentionnottodamagethepins
onthebackplaneorothercomponents.
Note:
Youneedtoweartheanti-staticwriststrap.
Youneedtobemorecarefulwiththeberpigtailandpower.
4.Uploadacard.
Ifyouareatthelocale,youcanconnectthedevicethroughtheserialport.Usethe
commandtoaddacard.Ifyouarenotonsite,youcanaddacardontheNMS
remotely.
5.Layoutthebertailsbycooperatingwiththeoperators’personnelandtheconstruction
personnel.Ifthesiteisnotavailableforexpansion,theoperatorscanarrangeother
timeforthelayout.
6.Conguretherelatedservicesasrequired.
ProcessingGuidesforExpansionFailure
Ifthecardfailstoworkproperlyafterexpansion,performthefollowingsteps:
1.Pulloutthecard,andadditoncemore.
2.Ifthecardstillfailstowork,changeanotherslotandinsertthecardagain.
3.Ifthecardstillfailstowork,replacethecard.Ifthenewcardcanwork,theprevious
cardisfaulty.Returnthefaultycardforrepair.

Beforeperformingtheseoperations,youneedtomakesurethatyouroperationswillnot
affecttheservice.YoucannotrestarttheNEorperformanyoperationwhichmayaffect
theserviceifyouhavenotobtainedthetechnicalsupportortheapprovalfromtheservice
provider.
