systemispoweredonagain.Therefore,itisnecessarytoprepareenoughspareparts
fortheprevioussystem.

Backupthedataontheprevioussystem,ensuringthatthedataisthelatest.
Performthefollowingstepstocarryoutthecutover:
1.Preliminarysurvey
lCommunicatewiththetechniciansfromotherrelatedequipmentmanufacturers.
Makesurethepurposeandthesignicanceofthecutover.Cutoverisnotthebest
choiceifthereareothereasiermethodstodealwiththeexistingproblems.
lDotheon-sitesurveythoroughly.Conrmthattheconditionsforhardware
installation,theopticallineresources(foruplinkanddownlink)andthe
upper-layerdeviceresourcesaresufcient.
lFullyknowaboutthedetailednetworkingsituationofthecutoverservice.
lSpecifytherelateddepartmentsandsupervisorsforeachnodeinthenetwork
concerned.

discussingthedraft.Recordalltheopinionsfromeverydepartmentandthe
relatedprecautionsforactualoperationindetail.
c.Workoutthestartandendtimeofinstallingthenewdevice,debuggingsoftware
andtestingthesystem.Decidethetimeforcutover.
d.Afterdeterminingthecutoverplan,applyfortheapprovalofthehigherauthority.
3.Commissionnewsystem.
a.Performthecommissioningworkonthenewsystem.
b.Implementthesimulatedtestaccordingtothefeaturesoftheonlineservicesto
ensurethattheonlineservicescanrunproperlyafterbeingtransittothenew
equipment.
4.Implementcutover.
