needs. Listen-In, along with multiple Model 3200 ste-
thoscopes, redefines the traditional limits of auscultation
by delivering an exceptional, simultaneous sound experi-
ence for multiple clinicians.

Product Description
Listen-In is a ready to use kit of five Littmann 3200
electronic stethoscopes, one smart phone including
pre-installed Listen-In software allowing it to transmit
auscultation sounds.
• One stethoscope acts as the Presenting stethoscope
while the other 1-4 stethoscopes act as Listening ste-
thoscopes.
• The Presenting stethoscope acquires the acoustic
information and sends it to the smart phone via Blue-
tooth
®
wireless communication.
• The smart phone device then transmits the acoustic
information via Bluetooth
®
to the Listening stetho-
scopes.
Intended Use
Listen-In is intended to be used as an educational tool
only and is not intended to be used for diagnostic purpo-
ses. Individual 3200’s, used separately from the packa-
ge may be used diagnostically.
Safety Information
Please refer to the safety instruction given in the res-
pective user manuals of smart phone and stethoscope
for information regarding mobile radiation, especially in
sensitive locations.
Unpacking
• Unpack the stethoscopes and insert the AA battery
supplied. Please refer to the Littmann
®
Model 3200
user manual for details.
• Unpack the smart phone and insert the battery. Please
refer to the smart phone user manual for details.
• Please fully charge the smart phone prior to first usage.
Starting Listen-In
The package as purchased is ready to use, with five pre-
paired Littmann 3200 stethoscopes and pre-installed
Listen-In software. Just follow these simple steps below
to use Listen-In:
• Turn on the smart phone by pressing the button on
the top.
• Unlock the phone by dragging the lock symbol to the
right.
• Start the Listen-In by pressing the Littmann icon
on the home screen of the smart phone.
• Turn on the first stethoscope.
• Press the “M” button on the stethoscope to enter the
Menu and press the “M” button again to select CON-
NECT.
• On the smart phone touch the colour (or 4 digit number
which corresponds with last 4 digits of the stethoscope
serial number which can be found at the side of the
chestpiece: “eg: SN xxxxxxxxxx1234”). Shortly after
this the status below the 4 digit number will show
“Connected” and a Bluetooth logo will appear.
• Repeat with other stethoscopes (max 5 in total).
Note: To unlock the phone (should the screen darken),
press the power button on top and drag the lock symbol
to the right. While the phone is locked, Listen-In is
still working.
Filter and Volume Control
• When stethoscopes (including Presenting stetho-
scope) are connected, the filter
button on the
listening stethoscope(s) is disabled.
• The presenting stethoscope controls the ‘filter’ (i.e.
Bell, Diaphragm and Extended Range) settings on ALL
stethoscopes so this function remains active only on
the presenting stethoscope.
• The volume level of each stethoscope is always inde-
pendently controlled.
