Pinch the rim of the diaphragm on the small side; pull and lift from
thechestpiece.
Attach the sleeve by placing one side on
the edge and stretching it over
thechestpiece.
To install diaphragm, remove the nonchill
sleeve. Insert the edge of the diaphragm
into the groove and roll the rim around
thechestpiece.
Cleaning, Disinfection andStorage
Clean your stethoscope between exams using a 70% isopropyl alcohol
wipe or a disposable wipe with soap and water. A 2% bleach solution
may be used to disinfect your stethoscope; however, the tubing may
experience a slight discoloration after exposure to bleach. The tunable
diaphragms, nonchill bell sleeve and eartips may be removed for
thorough cleaning.
To remove the eartips from the headset, pull firmly. To assemble the
eartips, push the small side of the eartip firmly onto the eartube until
it snaps fully into place. Ensure all parts and surfaces are dry before
reassembly. Be sure the eartips are firmly attached to the headset
before inserting them into your ears.
Do not immerse your stethoscope in anyliquid.
Do not subject your stethoscope to any sterilizationprocess.
Avoid storing your stethoscope in extremeheat.
To prevent staining of stethoscope tubing, avoid contact with pens,
markers, newsprint, or other printedmaterials.
