PARTS 4
PROCEEDING TO ADJUST COIN MECHANISM
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The programmer gives the opportunity, through proceedings, to
adjust new coins.
The available functions are the following:
sec 20: values table programming
sec 21: channel adjustment
sec 22: programming of substitutive channel
sec 24: restriction of acceptance bands
VERY IMPORTANT
These procedings are extremely efficient as much dangerous.
Therefore they must be used only to trained staff, Comestero Group
decline any liability for dammages caused by an uncorrect use of
the available functions, such as cancellation of the adjustments,
etc…
All operations of adjustment or correction have to be carried out
with the coin mechanism mounted on the machine on which
usually works or on proper support.
SEC. 22
SUBSTITUTIVE CHANNEL
Programming of substitutive channel
This function allows to give to a coin an output channel different
from the one in which has been adjusted. Moreover more channels
can have the same output.
Example: different coins of equal value or coins with high risk of
faults coins.
The same coin is adjusted on 2 different channels.
1 channel: standard tollerance
2 channel: tight tollerance
then the channel is enabled according to actual problems of faults
acceptance. All that without any change of electronics on machines
on which coin mechanism is installed.
Enter the function through key OK. The display shows selected
channel. Through key “+/-“ select the channel to be deviated.
Through key OK confirm the channel to be deviated.
The display shows digit 0. Through key “+” select the substitutive
channel. Its number is 0 when it is OFF.
On display will be shown the substitutive channel and through key
+/- select the wished one. Its number changes from 1 to 59 for the
RM5. Its number is 0 when it is OFF.
SEC. 20
Values table programming
In order to carry out counting operations, the coin mechanism
needs to know the value of every adjusted coin.
Enter the function through key “OK” and the programmer shows
the stored basic value 1 in the coin mechanism.
Pressing the OK key, will then be shown the basic value 2 (if
present) and by pressing it again it will be asked if it has to print
the first base value.
Press key “-“ to change it (or OK to leave it as it been
programmed) and +/- to modify the value between the ones
proposed by the programmer.
Then OK to store the first base value and to proceed to the stored
value of the first channel.
Use +/- to change and adjusted it and OK to moove to another
channel.
Should even a singol token being already adjusted, then the coin
has automatically a value equal to sale price of 1
st
price, or game
value, or equal to 2
nd
price value, or bonus.
It can be obtained by giving the value P1 or P2.
NOTE: to change the table, scroll all channels with the key OK up
to the message OK forward ESC _”. Only then can be used the
key “-“ to go out and to store the modified values.
The RM5 can work with 2 base value: the first for the channels
from 1 to 30 the second for the following ones.
The programmer allows to display both but only the change of first
one. In case of editing of the first base value through programmer,
the second base value will be automatically set equal to first one
(will be then used as only one value for all channels).
SEC. 21
CHANNEL ADJUSTMENT
This function allows to adjust a new type of coin or token.
It’s necessaryto have at least 10 pcs of coin or tokens to adjust,
which have to be identified by the coin mechanism through
proceeding described below:
enter the function with key OK, the programmer will askswhich
channel to be adjusted; with +/- scroll channels up to the one where
the new coin has to be programmed.
Pushing key OK, confirm the channel and the display will show the
number of coin inserted. After that the coin mechanism has to
identify the adjustment coins, inserting them one after the other and
keeping such distance that the previous coin has to be already out
when the further is fitted. The display shows the number of coins
indentified by coin mechanism. Push key OK to confirm the
adjustment when all coins are identified. If at least 10 coins have not
been inserted, the display will show the message insufficient
number of coins and will be given the possibility to forward
inserting further coins with key OK or to go out with key “-“
cancelling then the process.
If the choice is “forwarding” , then inserting the coins, the display
will increase the figure.Press OK and select the required tolerance
for the adjustment between “small” and “large”, with keys +/- and
confirming with OK again. At this stage the process is over and the
coin mechanism can identify coins of the adjusted type.
Update the values table (see sec 20) to let the coin mechanism
know, the adjusted coin value to totalize or to display it
