Applicability
The manual is applicable to cabinet-built ACS880 single drives and multidrives with the
options:
• +L513+Q971 and +2L513+Q971 (+3L513+Q971 is available as an order-based
engineered option)
• +3L514+Q971, +5L514+Q971 and +8L514+Q971 (other configurations with a maximum
of 8 relays are available as an order-based engineered option).
The motor thermal protection functions described in this manual are certified, with an EU-type
examination certificate, as protective systems in accordance with the ATEX Product Directive
2014/34/EU.
Target audience
The manual is intended for people who install, start-up, use and service the ATEX-certified
motor thermal protection functions of the drive. Read the manual before working on the
drive. You are expected to know the fundamentals of electricity, wiring, electrical components,
electrical schematic symbols and ATEX/Ex regulations.
