11.2.4 Adding Gateway hostname in client machine (Windows)
For the device name to be used with communications (example: https://xxx.elgateway.abb.local:5003)
user computer needs to have host defined in hosts file. This can be added with Administrative rights,
open the Notepad application:
Note: this is optional, device can be accessed by using IP address
Navigate to below path
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Set “All Files (*.*)” option and select “hosts” file and click “Open”:
