ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS WITH THE SYNCH-CHECK OPTION
Sync Set? “Sync Set?” must be set to “Yes” to enable all voltage/synchronism fuc-
tions. Must be set to “Yes” to view and set the following settings.
VMax The voltage threshold above which the bus or line is considered “live”.
VMin The voltage threshold under which the bus or line is considered “dead”.
Sync Time The minimum time during which selected conditions (HBDL, HLDB,
SYNC) must remain present to alow reclosing.
Note: “Sync Time” timer countdown is in addition to the dead time set by
“Recln Time”. “Sync Time” will countdown after the dead time countdown
is complete and before the close contacts operate.
Sync Angle Selects the maximum angle for which Line and Bus are considered in syn-
chronism.
Recln HLDB When set to “Yes”, permits a reclosure when the Line is “live” and the Bus
is “dead”. (n represents the reclosure number 1-4)
Recln HBDL When set to “Yes”, permits a reclosure when the bus is “live” and the line
is “dead”. (n represents the reclosure number 1-4)
Recln Sync When set to “Yes”, permits a reclosure when the synchronism condition is
fulfilled (n represents the reclosure number 1-4). This function can also be
referred to as Live Line, Live Bus (LLLB) and will operate if voltage above
“V Mav” is present on the bus and the Line and the angle difference is low-
er or equal to the Sync angle).
Recln Wait “Recln Wait” is the time the reclosing logic will wait for set voltage or syn-
chronism check actions to occur (n represents the reclosure number 1-4).
If the time expires before the voltage or synchronism check actions occur,
the recloser goes to LOCKOUT mode and displays “LOCKOUT” “No Bus-
Line Condition”.
