HARD WIRED FUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION
Drive to Lockout This is the optically isolated input DR LOCK. When energized, it will drive
the recloser to lockout from any point in the reclosing sequence including
READY mode. The recloser will remain in LOCKOUT with the message
“Drive to Lockout” on the display until the drive to lockout input is re-
moved. Upon removal, the recloser will go through the reset sequence be-
fore going to “READY” state assuming no other condition holds the relay
in LOCKOUT
Note: When manually opening the circuit breaker, controlled by the re-
closer, a “wetted” control switch contact should be wired to this input to
insure the recloser goes to and remains in the LOCKOUT mode while the
breaker is open.
External Reclose Initiate This is the optically isolated input EXT RI and is, used to initiate
the recloser externally. This input is useful when the recloser is
shared by other protection devices (e.g. primary and backup relay-
ing). Initiation, from this input is enabled by using one of the “Recl
n” choices including “3RI”.
Hold This optically isolated input “freezes” the reclosing sequence
when energized.. All timing and all sequencing will stop until the
“HOLD” input is removed. It will then continue from the point at
which action was suspended.
Lockout This is an output relay with N.O. or N.C. contacts selectable
through a jumper. This output is energized when the relay is in the
“LOCKOUT” state.
