CHAPTER 5: Viewing Real-time Readings Via AcuView
Software
This chapter will mainly discuss how to use the meter via the communication port using
software. It is highly recommended that previous chapters be read before moving onto
Chapter 5, a familiarity with Modbus would also be helpful.
5.1 Connection Setup
5.1.1 Wiring
Refer to section 2.3.6(Communications Wiring)
5.1.2 Acuview Software Setup
1. New Connection:
A connection is required before communicating with the meter. To add a new
connection, do one of the following:
1) Click Setting > Connection Manager
or
2) Click the icon
The Connection Manager is shown as in Fig 5-1.

• New: add a new connection
• Delete: Delete the select connection
• Edit: Edit the selected connection settings.
• Close: Close the window
• Status: ‘Available’ means Com Port is active, and ‘not Available’ means Com Port is
inactive. If the status is blank, it means that Com Port has not been established.
