How to troubleshoot Accurex XXSV Ventilation Hood exhaust fan not working?
    • S
      Sarah WeaverAug 4, 2025
If the Accurex Ventilation Hood exhaust fan isn't working or isn't reaching the intended performance, you can try the following: replace any blown fuses, reset tripped circuit breakers, and verify the disconnect switch. Also, inspect the belt and replace or tighten if necessary. Ensure that the fan is correctly wired by a qualified electrician. Clean the fan wheel/blade, replace the fan wheel if damaged, and check for loose bolts, broken components, or any obstructions. If needed, adjust or replace the pulleys to increase the fan RPM or install a larger motor.

Why does smoke blow away from my Accurex XXSV?
    • C
      choganAug 12, 2025
If smoke blows away before reaching the bottom of your Accurex Ventilation Hood, try these solutions: turn off or redirect any fans causing drafts. Move diffusers or replace them with ones that direct air away from the hood. Close windows and doors to minimize drafts. Identify and eliminate any sources of drafts, and consider adding side skirts to the hood. Also, increase the overhang on the spillage side, and add a 6-inch lip around the base of the hood. Ensure make-up air is evenly distributed throughout the kitchen. Adjust the amount and locations of make-up air to eliminate drafts through pass-thru windows. You can also try turning off or reducing the amount of make-up air, or blocking off portions of the supply to direct air away from the problem area by testing with cardboard.

    • T
      tategreggNov 7, 2025
If your Accurex Ventilation Hood is full of smoke, or smoke is escaping from the edges, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the exhaust fan is functioning correctly. Clean or replace dirty or damaged filters, making sure they are correctly positioned. Check the make-up air unit, increasing the amount of make-up air, and ensuring it's evenly distributed. Adjust or replace the fan to match the cooking equipment load. You may also want to restrict a second hood to help the problem hood, or open dampers. In addition, refer to the test and balance report, design specifications, and fan curves; have an electrician check the motor amperage; try removing the filter temporarily to see if capture improves (Make sure to replace filter to prevent risk of fire!); switch to different filters...
