The System Security screen contains parameters that help safeguard and protect your
computer from unauthorized use.
The table below describes the parameters in this screen. Settings in boldface are the
default and suggested parameter settings.
Parameter Description
Set Supervisor
Password
When set, this password protects the BIOS Utility from
unauthorized entry.
Press Enter to set this password.
Set User Password When set, this password protects the computer from
unauthorized entry during boot-up.
Press Enter to set this password.
Password on Boot When enabled, a password is requested when the system boots up.
Options: Enabled or Disabled
Set Primary Hard Disk
Password
When set, this password prevents the primary hard disk from
unauthorized access. It consists of 8 alphanumeric characters.
Press Enter to set this password.
