Do you have a question about the Acer KG241QS and is the answer not in the manual?
This document provides a Quick Start Guide (QSG) for an Acer LCD Monitor, detailing its functions, technical specifications, usage features, and maintenance guidelines.
The Acer LCD Monitor is designed for video and visual display of information from electronic devices. It supports various input signals and offers features to enhance the viewing experience. The monitor can be turned on/off using a dedicated power button, which illuminates blue when on and amber in standby/power saving mode or when the OSD is locked. It features multiple function keys that allow users to navigate the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu, access hotkey functions, view basic monitor information, reset custom color settings, select scenario or game modes, and choose input sources. A joystick-like single toggle button on the backside of the display bezel facilitates cursor movement and option selection within the Function Menu.
The monitor features a 27-inch (69cm) TFT Color LCD panel with a pixel pitch of 0.15525mm(H) x 0.15525mm(V). It offers a native brightness of 350 nits, with HDR400 mode reaching a peak of 400 nits. The contrast ratio is 100,000,000:1 Max. (ACM). The viewable angle is 178° (H) 178° (V) (CR≥10), and it boasts a fast response time of 1ms (VRB) with an In-Plane Switching panel type.
For frequency, it supports H-Frequency of 30K~160KHz for HDMI and 510K~510KHz for DP (both 1DP and 2DP configurations). V-Frequency ranges from 30~60Hz (AdaptiveSync: 40~60Hz) for HDMI, 30~120Hz (AdaptiveSync: 48~120Hz) for 1DP, and 30~144Hz for 2DP. The monitor displays 1.07B colors and has a dot clock of 1100MHz.
Maximum resolutions supported are 3840x2160 @144Hz for 2DP, 3840x2160 @120Hz for 1DP, and 3840x2160 @60Hz for HDMI. It is VESA DDCCI/DDC2B compliant. The annual energy consumption (typical) is 80 kWh (for HDMI-input Model). Power consumption at 200cd/m² is 120W (typical) in ON Mode, 0.5W (typical) in Sleep Mode, and 0.37W (typical) when Off.
Input connectors include DP (Only DP Model), HDMI (Only HDMI model), and USB Hub / USB3.0 x 4 (Only USB Hub Model). It supports DP signal (Only DP-Input Model) and HDMI signal (Only HDMI-Input Model). The monitor includes 4W x 2 speakers and Audio-Output (Only Audio-Output Model). The maximum screen size is 596.16mm (Horizontal) x 335.34mm (Vertical). It operates on a 100-240V~, 50/60Hz power source.
Environmental considerations include an operating temperature of 5° to 35°C, storage temperature of -20° to 60°C, and operating humidity of 20% to 80%. The physical dimensions are 629 (W) x 441~541(H) x 307.2(D)mm, with a net weight of 6.63kg. The mechanism allows for tilt (-5° to +25°), swivel (+/- 20°), 100mm height adjustment, and pivot. It also features a detachable foot stand.
The monitor supports AdaptiveSync (DP/HDMI), allowing a supported graphics source to dynamically adjust the display refresh rate for power-efficient, stutter-free, and low-latency display updates. DP port supports G-Sync Compatible/AdaptiveSync, while HDMI supports HDMI-VRR (for Xbox One VRR).
To connect the monitor to a computer, users must first turn off the computer and unplug its power cord. Then, connect the signal cable(s) (HDMI and/or DP) from the monitor to the graphics card on the computer. USB cables (USB 3.0 for fast charge) can also be connected. Finally, insert the monitor power cable into the power port and connect the power adapter and power cord to a grounded AC outlet.
External controls include:
The OSD menu provides various controls, including Brightness, Contrast, Black Boost, Blue Light, ACM, HDR, Light Sensor, Super Sharpness, Gamma, Color Temp., Modes, Color Space, Grayscale Mode, 6-axis Hue, 6-axis Saturate, Volume, Mute, Over Drive, AdaptiveSync, Refresh Rate Num, VRB, Ultra-low latency, Aim Point, Language, OSD Timeout, Transparency, OSD Lock, Input, Auto Source, DP Format, Wide Mode, Ambient Light, Hot Key Assignment, DDC/CI, HDMI Black Level, Quick Start Mode, LED Control, 4K-144Hz Mode, and Power-off USB Charge.
