  • Placement Guidelines for Maximum Accuracy:
    • Place the display unit in a dry area, free of dirt and dust.
    • The outdoor sensor should be placed outside, protected from direct weather elements, using its integrated hanger or string.
    • Optimal outdoor sensor placement is 4 to 8 feet above the ground, in permanent shade, with plenty of fresh air circulation.
    • Ensure both units are out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or vents.
    • Maintain a distance of at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from electronic devices to prevent wireless interference.
    • The display unit and outdoor sensor must be within 165 ft (50 m) of each other.
    • Avoid large metallic items, thick walls, metal surfaces, or other objects that may limit wireless communication.
  • Synchronization: The sensor and display unit will synchronize automatically after setup, which may take a few minutes.

High/Low Records Usage:

  • Viewing Records: Press the "↓" button to view low temperature records and the "↑" button to view high temperature records.
  • Resetting Records: Press and HOLD the "↓" button while viewing low records to clear them. Press and HOLD the "↑" button while viewing high records to clear them. Records reset when batteries are changed or manually reset.

Maintenance Features:

  • Display Unit Care: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid caustic cleaners or abrasives. Keep free of dust, dirt, and moisture. Regularly clean ventilation ports with a gentle puff of air.
  • Outdoor Sensor Care: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid caustic cleaners or abrasives.
  • Battery Safety: Clean contacts, remove batteries from unused equipment, follow polarity diagrams, promptly remove dead batteries, dispose of properly, do not incinerate, do not mix old/new or different types, do not use rechargeable batteries, and do not short-circuit terminals.

Troubleshooting:

  • No Outdoor Sensor Reception: Relocate units within 165 ft (50m), ensure they are 3 ft (0.9m) away from electronics, and use recommended batteries. Synchronization may take up to 20 minutes after battery replacement.
  • Flashing Outdoor Temperature/Dashes: Indicates wireless interference. Bring both units indoors, remove and reinstall batteries in both, then place them within a couple of feet for about 20 minutes to establish a strong connection.
  • Inaccurate Temperature: Ensure units are out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources/vents.
  • Display Screen Not Working: Check battery installation and replace if necessary.
