What to do if the ACU-RITE 00611A3 outdoor temperature is flashing or showing dashes?
    • N
      Nicholas SchwartzAug 9, 2025
If the outdoor temperature is flashing or showing dashes on your ACU-RITE Thermometer, it might be due to wireless interference. Try bringing both the sensor and display unit indoors and removing at least one battery from each. Then, reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor, followed by reinstalling the battery in the display unit. Allow the units to sit within a couple of feet of each other for about 20 minutes to establish a strong connection.

What to do if my ACU-RITE 00611A3 has no outdoor sensor reception?
    • D
      Duane HollowayAug 21, 2025
If your ACU-RITE Thermometer isn't receiving the outdoor sensor signal (no bars), try these steps: First, relocate the display unit and/or the outdoor sensor, ensuring they are within 165 ft (50 m) of each other. Second, ensure both units are at least 3 feet (.9 m) away from electronics like TVs, microwaves, and computers that could interfere with wireless communication. Third, use standard alkaline batteries (or lithium batteries in the sensor when the temperature is below -4ºF/-20ºC), avoiding heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. Finally, allow up to 20 minutes for the display unit and sensor to synchronize after replacing the batteries.
