Why does communication fail on my Adp 4000 Clock?

Communication failures with your Adp Clock can stem from a couple of key issues. The communication settings might be incorrect either at the timeclock itself or on the host PC. To check the timeclock settings, go to Maintenance Mode and press the Comm Setting soft key. Verify and correct the Device ID, IP Address, Gateway, and Subnet Mask settings as needed. If problems persist, examine the communication settings on the host PC. Also, ensure that all communication cables are correctly routed and securely connected. If the connections are good, check for any cable defects.
