Used Prius Fob Key Warning!
Fob keys that are not BRAND NEW cannot be simply ADDED.
There is a work around trick that will usually allow you to program in an already used Prox.
1. Perform an Immobilizer reset introducing the used key rst.
2. Once you have the used key programmed and working use PROGRAM PROX
to add back in the original working Prox key(s).
3. On 2004-2009 Prius a Proximity Type5 RESET ECU function must also be performed and the used Fob’s RKE added
in 1st, then any pre-exisitng keys added back in 2nd.
MVP users take note: The above method may not always work 100%.
Brand new keys from a reputable dealer is what we recommend.
These program in 100% without issue.
