PROCEDURE COMPLETE
PRESS ENTER KEY

Note: This will cause ALL keys to be
erased and the Immobilizer system to
reset itself.
Note: Do not be impatient.
Some vehicles may go over 30 minutes.
If the timer goes over 40 minutes - stop.
Disconnect from the OBD2 port and re-
move the key. Wait 20 sec. and start over.
Note: You must remove the Master key &
Disconnect at this point.
The Immobilizer system is now Reset. If
you insert the correct transponder type
key, the Security Light should remain
steady & illuminated.
The vehicle is now in Auto Learn mode. Auto Learn mode is indicated by the steady
illumination of the Security Light. Insert each key you want to program - but do not
turn the key ON - only insert and remove after 5 seconds. The vehicle
may learn up to 4 keys before the Auto Learn cycle is shut down.
You can close the cycle early by turning the ignition lock from Off to On and back to Off 5
times, very fast, with a Master key. Remove the key and re-insert it and the Security Lite
should be out when there is a programmed key in the ignition.
On this type of vehicle, the Immobilizer computer can tell the difference between a Master
& Valet key by the type of transponder in the key.
Old way of doing a Type 2 Reset, (use only in rare instances, see notes)

The quick reset on the previous page can be used
99% of the time and the old method shown here
is almost NEVER needed. However in some rare
instances the quick reset may only allow TWO keys
to be programmed. In these cases you can still use
the old method with the security delay, after which 3
or 4 keys can be introduced successfully.
