Pressure Relief Valves
Your kayak is equipped with a pressure relief valves on the Floor and Main chambers. Should
the pressure in an air chamber exceed the recommended rating, this valve will open slightly to
release some pressure and avoid possible damage. You may hear a slight hiss should this occur.
Care should be taken to not damage this valve and it should not be tampered with.
NOTE: Do not remove the RED valve cap and always ensure the cap is securely hand tightened
for proper performance.
Ination and Deation of the Main Air Chambers should always be done through the Main gray
2-way valves only.
Ination and Deation of the Floor Air Chambers should always be done through the center gray
Boston Valve.
Pressure Relief Valve Maintenance
The PR (pressure relief) valve is a high-performance pressure relief system that can benet from
some very simple periodic maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, in cases
where your kayak is used in saltwater and/or sandy areas; sand, grit, and salt can build up and

Special note: the Spring Valve Adaptor comes with all current Advanced Elements pumps,
with the exception of the 12v inator, and will attach to any Advanced Elements pump that does
not have the adaptor already included, with the exception of the 12v inator. The Spring Valve
Adaptor will also attach to some other manufacturer’s pumps, but you must check the
attachment style at the end of the pump hose to be sure it will t.
