L & S Series : How to Replace the Easy Pitch Nut and Bolt
Secure the inner, outer arms and valance to
the entire awning with ties or straps.
(Electric awnings: Please disconnect the power source)
Warning: The awning arms contain tensioned
cables. Always use caution, securely tie the
awning arms to the awning when performing
installation, adjustments or repairs. Sudden
movement of tension arms can result in seri-
ous personal injury, product and/or property
damage.

Secure the valance, tied
arms, and fabric roller tube
to torsion bar and wall
brackets with ties or straps.

Remove existing Easy Pitch security loop pin out by us-
ing an Allen wrench and mallet.

Once the pin is removed, pull down on the loop until
released.

Before You Begin/What You Will Need:
1. New Easy Pitch™ Nut and Bolt
(provided by Advaning)
2. 6 – 8 ft. Ladder/s
3. Zip Ties, Ropes, or Securing Straps
4. Allen Wrench, size 9/64 or smaller
5. Spacer Block or Sponge
6. Phillips Head Screw Driver
7. Mallet
8. Multi-Purpose Grease Lubricant (Optional)

Retract the awning back
to the fully closed position.
Secure the retractable arms
closed with ties or straps.
NOTE: For safety, Advaning highly recommends these instructions be conducted by 2 or more persons.

Replacing the Nut and Bolt

Reverse the steps, ensuring correct placement of parts and optionally using grease for smooth operation.
