Function Description

The AEG Ligth is a cordless telephone system consisting of a handset and a base station. It supports making and receiving external and internal calls, managing a phonebook, and utilizing various call features. The phonebook can store up to 200 private entries, each with a name (up to 15 characters) and a number (up to 24 digits), and entries can be categorized into seven call groups. The device also includes a call list that stores up to 30 calls with date and time information, displaying caller names if available in the phonebook. An answering machine function is integrated, indicated by specific icons on the handset display. The handset features a speakerphone for hands-free communication and an alarm function. It also supports direct call functionality, allowing users to dial a pre-selected number by pressing any key, which is useful for emergency services.

Usage Features

  • Making Calls:
    • Preparatory Dialing: Enter number, then press <TALK ON> or <SPEAKERPHONE>.
    • Direct Dialing: Press <TALK ON> or <SPEAKERPHONE>, then enter number.
    • From Phonebook: Press <LEFT>, select entry, then press <TALK ON> or <SPEAKERPHONE>.
    • From Call List: Press <DOWN>, select entry, then press <TALK ON> or <SPEAKERPHONE>.
    • From Redial List: Press <UP>, select number, then press <TALK ON> or <SPEAKERPHONE>.

  • Internal Calls:

  • Call List Management: View call details, store numbers to phonebook, dial numbers, delete entries (single or all), and configure storage options (all calls or unanswered calls).
  • New Call Alert: Turn on/off audible and visual alerts for missed calls.
  • Sound Settings: Customize handset ringer (external/internal melody and volume), and enable/disable key beeps, confirmation tone, low battery alert, and out of range alert.
  • Handset Settings:
    • Direct Call: Enable/disable and set a number for direct dialing.
    • Alarm: Set alarm time, turn on/off, and select melody.
    • Base Station Selection: Choose which base station to use if multiple are registered.
    • Display Settings: Adjust contrast, rename handset, select wallpaper, and color theme.
    • Language: Select display language.
    • Auto Answer: Turn on/off automatic answering.
    • Handset Registration/De-registration: Register additional handsets (up to 5) or de-register existing ones.
    • Handset Reset: Restore handset to default settings (phonebook and speed dial entries are not deleted).
  • Base Settings:

    • Handset Priority: Set which handset rings first if multiple are registered.
    • Dial Mode: Select Tone or Pulse dialing.
    • Flash Time: Set flash time (country-dependent).
