How to troubleshoot airflow fault during ignition in Aerco Boiler?
    • C
      Catherine MontgomeryDec 1, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler displays an airflow fault during ignition, check the combustion blower for excessive heat or high current drain that could trip thermal or current overload devices. Inspect the blower inlet, including the air filter at the air/fuel valve, for blockages. Remove and inspect the Blower Proof and Blocked Inlet switches for blockages, cleaning or replacing them as needed. Check the continuity of both switches; replace if readings are erratic or greater than zero ohms. Verify the inlet air temperature and measure voltage at the AUX input in the I/O Box, ensuring it matches Appendix C values. Check the wire connection from the I/O Box 0-10V signal to the Blower Motor and measure voltage at the I/O box 0-10V output. Confirm the Analog Out option on the C-More Configuration Men...

What causes flame loss during ignition in an Aerco BMK 750?
    • M
      Mark BushAug 25, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler experiences flame loss during ignition, start by inspecting the Flame Detector for wear and replace if necessary. Then, close the internal gas valve and test the Spark Igniter outside the unit to check for a spark. If there's no spark, check for 120VAC at the primary side of the ignition transformer during the ignition cycle.

What causes an airflow fault during run in my Aerco BMK 750?
    • M
      Matthew PittsAug 26, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler shows an airflow fault during run, check the combustion blower for signs of excessive heat or high current draw. Inspect the blower inlet and ductwork for blockages. Remove the air filter and Blocked Inlet switch, inspecting for blockages and cleaning or replacing as necessary. Verify that 24 VAC is present between each side of the Blocked Inlet switch and ground; replace the switch if not present on both sides. If the unit rumbles or runs rough, perform combustion calibration. Also, causes from 3 to 16 for 'AIRFLOW FAULT DURING IGNITION' may apply.

What does 'Interlock Open' mean on my Aerco BMK 750 Boiler?
    • S
      Steven RichardsonAug 27, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler displays an interlock open error, first check for a properly installed jumper across the interlock terminals in the I/O box. If there are two external wires on these terminals, check your Energy Management system to see if the unit is disabled. Temporarily install a jumper to see if the interlock circuit is functioning. Also, check that the proving switch for any device hooked to the interlock circuit is closing and that the device is operational.

Why is my Aerco Boiler showing a high water temperature?
    • R
      Ralph PattersonAug 27, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler is showing a high water temperature, refer to the troubleshooting steps for 'HIGH WATER TEMPERATURE SWITCH OPEN'. Also, verify that the Temp HI Limit setting is appropriately configured.

What causes a line voltage out of phase error on an Aerco Boiler?
    • T
      tsparksSep 15, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler indicates that the line voltage is out of phase, check the hot and neutral wires in the AC Power Box to ensure they are not reversed. Also, check the transformer wiring in the AC Power Box against the power box transformer wiring diagram to ensure it is wired correctly.

What to do if my Aerco BMK 750 Boiler shows a residual flame?
    • D
      Dustin LewisSep 12, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler indicates a residual flame, replace the Flame Detector. Also, check the open/close indicator window of the Safety Shut-Off Valve (SSOV) to ensure it's fully closed. If not, replace the valve and/or actuator. Close the 1” Gas Shut-Off Valve downstream of SSOV. Install a manometer or gauge at the leak detection port between the SSOV and Gas Shut Off Valve. If a gas pressure reading is observed, replace the SSOV Valve and/or Actuator.

What does 'Delayed Interlock Open' mean on my Aerco BMK 750 and how to fix it?
    • A
      Amy WebsterSep 13, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler shows a delayed interlock open, check to ensure the jumper is properly installed across the delayed interlock terminals in the I/O Box. If there are 2 external wires on these terminals, check to see if an end switch for a proving device (such as a pump, louver, etc.) is tied these interlocks. Ensure that the device and/or its end switch is functional. A jumper may be temporarily installed to test the interlock.

Why is my Aerco BMK 750 showing 'PRG SWTCH CLOSED DURING IGNITION'?
    • R
      Ricardo CastilloSep 6, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler shows 'PRG SWTCH CLOSED DURING IGNITION', start the unit and check if the Air/Fuel Valve rotates to the purge (open) position, then back to the ignition position (towards closed) during the ignition cycle. If the valve doesn't rotate back to the ignition position, check the Air/Fuel Valve calibration. If the Air/Fuel Valve does rotate to the ignition position, check the purge switch for continuity between the N.O. and COM terminals; ensure that the switch is wired correctly. If the switch is wired correctly, replace the switch. Check DS1 & DS2 LEDs on the Power Supply Board. If they are not steady ON, replace the Power Supply Board. Check “Heartbeat” LED DS1 and verify it is blinking ON & OFF every second. If not, replace the IGST Board.

How to troubleshoot low gas pressure on Aerco BMK 750 Boiler?
    • H
      hdelgadoSep 3, 2025
If your Aerco Boiler indicates low gas pressure, measure the gas pressure upstream of the SSOV Actuator(s) with the unit firing. For FM gas trains, ensure it is between 4.0” W.C. and 14” W.C. For IRI gas trains, ensure it is between 4.2" W.C. and 14” W.C. If the pressure is within range, measure gas pressure at the Low Gas Pressure switch. If it is greater than 2.6” W.C., measure continuity across the switch and replace if necessary.
