The
4284A
is
a
general
purp
ose
LCR
meter for
incoming

ection

The
4284A
is
used
for

aluating
LCR
comp
onen
ts,
materials,
and semiconductor
devices

er
a
wide
range
of
frequencies

test
signal lev

V
rms
,50
A
to
20
mA
rms
). With
Option 001
the
4284A
's
test
signal
lev
el
range spans
5mV
to
20
V
rms
,
and

to

mA

.
The
4284A
oers
C-D
measuremen
ts
with
a
basic
accuracy
of
6
0.05%
(C),
6
0.0005
(D)
at
all
test
frequencies
with
six
digit
resolution
(the
dissipation
factor
resolution
is 0.000001)
on
ev
ery
range.
With
its
built-in
comparator,
the
4284A
can
output
comparison/decision
results
for
sorting
comp
onen
ts
in
to
a
maxim
um
of
ten bins.
By using
the
handler
in
terface
and
scanner
in
terface
options,
the
4284A
can
easily b
e com
bined with
a comp
onen
t
handler,
a
scanner,
and
a
system
con
troller
to
fully
automate
comp
onent
testing,
sorting,
and
qualit
y
con
trol
data
pro
cessing.
The
4284A
's
new
list
sw
eep
function
p
ermits
entry
of up
to ten
frequencies, test
signal lev
els,
or
bias
lev
el
p
oin
ts
to
b
e
automatically
measured.
The GPIB in
terface is a standard in
terface on
the 4284A and can b e
used to build an automatic test system to completely c
haracterize
new componen
ts and materials, and to fully automatic pro duction
line testing.
The 4284A
with Option 002 can apply a 0 to 20A (Maximum
40A : When t
wo 42841As are paralleled.) DC curren
t bias to the
DUT (Device Under Test). So, high current biased impedance
measurement of coils or transformers can be p erformed easy, fast and
safe.
