The power cord supplied with power supply may or may not include a power plug (see "Options" in Chapter l) at one end
of the cord. Terminating connections and a ground lug are attached to the other end of the cord.
See Figure 2-2 and proceed as follows:
1. If they are not already in place, position the strain relief connector
), safety cover , rubber boot , and
connector nut
on the power cord .
2. Secure the ground wire
to the chassis earth ground stud.
3. For single-phase operation, connect the neutral wire
to the N input terminal and the line wire to the L input
terminal (this line is fused inside the supply).
4. For line-to-line operation from a three-phase source as shown in Figure 2-3, connect one phase to the N input terminal
and another phase to the L input terminal (this line is fused inside the supply).
Note The N terminal is not internally grounded.
5. Position the safety cover over the power input terminals and tighten the cover screws
and strain relief connector

. Torque the cover screws using 10 to 12 inch-pounds (1.13 to 1.36 Newton meters). Torque the strain relief
screws using 2 to 4 inch-pounds (0.23 to 0.45 Newton meters).
