Precautions for Handling Airlines
The verification kit includes airlines. Follow the steps below to ensure good measurement techniques.
• Be very careful not to drop the airline’s center or outer conductor. Irreparable damage will result if these
devices are dropped.
• During this procedure, you will be touching the exposed center conductor of the test port and the center
conductor of the airline.
— Observe proper ESD procedures.
— Clean your hands or wear gloves; skin oils will cause a change in electrical performance.
• Refer to Figure 3-9, Figure 3-10, and to your calibration kit manual for connection procedures.
