How to troubleshoot an Airrex HSC-18 that is not working?
    • E
      Erik HensleyAug 9, 2025
If your Airrex Air Conditioner is not working, first ensure the power plug is correctly connected. If it is loose, connect it properly. Then, check if the power button is turned "ON". Also, examine the fuse in the board and exchange it if it's blown. Finally, check the load capacity and reset the breaker on the switchboard if it has tripped. Ensure that the ambient temperature is suitable for operation (below Cooling & Dehumidifier 113° or 104° for HSC-12L models).

If your Airrex Air Conditioner is providing poor cooling, start by cleaning the filter, as it may be blocked with dust. Next, clean the heat exchanger to remove any accumulated dust. Ensure there are no obstacles against the inlet side, allowing at least 20 inches (50cm) of clearance. Also, make sure the ambient temperature is not too high; use the unit only below Cooling & Dehumidifier 113° or 104° for HSC-12L models.
