beginning

all
the
components.

recording,

analog
recording.

a
recording
source
with
the
input
select
buttons
as
follows:
To
record
from
a
record
..................
Press
PHONO.
To
record
from
an
FM
or
AM
broadcast
..................cceceeees
Press
TUNER.
To
record
from
a
compact
disc
.........
Press
CD.
To
record
from
a
DAT
cassette
or
video
cassette
............cccceceeee

Press
DAT/VCR.
Set
the
amplifier
to
the
normal
playback
mode.
Set
the
SOURCE
DIRECT
button
to
the
proper
position,
and
ad-
just
the
volume
with
the
VOLUME
control.

Prepare
for
recording
and
playback.

Adjust
the
recording
level
of
the
cassette
deck
and
begin
recording.
During
recording
@
Do
not
touch
the
input
select
buttons
as
this
will
interfere
with
recording.
@
During
recording,
the
VOLUME
control,
BASS
and
TREBLE
tone
controls,
BALANCE
control
and
MUTE
button
can
be
used.
If
you
wish
to
adjust
the
tone,
set
the
SOURCE
DI-
RECT
button
to
OFF
before
recording.
The
signals
being
recorded
will
not
be
affected
by
these
adjustments.
Notes
for
tape
dubbing
Normally
use
the
double
cassette
deck’s
dubbing
feature.
However,
dubbing
can
also
be
performed
as
follows:
1
Connect
a
cassette
deck
or
DAT
for
playback
to
the
DAT/
VCR
jacks,
and
a
cassette
deck
or
DAT
for
recording
to
the
TAPE
jacks.
2?
Press
the
DAT/VCR
button
of
the
amplifier.
Play
back
the
original
tape
on
the
cassette
deck
con-
nected
to
the
DAT/VCR
jacks
and
record
on
the
deck
connected
to
the
TAPE
jacks.
