When engaged, the input signal by-
passes the BASS, TREBLE and BAL-
ANCE control for optimum sound
quality playback.
The indicator lights when the SOUR-
CE DIRECT button is turned on.

VCR, TUNER, PHONO, CD)
To select a playback or recording
source you wish to listen to.
