The instructions below are for using this VCR as the recording

Connect
the
playback

and
recording

VCRs,
using
the
above
connection.
Connect
the
TV
to
this
VCR
in
order
to
monitor
the
pro-
gramme
being
recorded.
Turn on both VCRs and the TV.
Load a blank tape into this VCR and the prerecorded
tape into the playback side VCR.
Press the AV button to select the external channel.
“AU” will light on the FL display.
Press the I-HQ button then the REC button, hold both
buttons down until the I-HQ indicator appears on the
FL display.
The I-HQ indicator will flash while the Auto Tape Tuning
process is in operation. When the process is completed
the indicator will stop flashing and remain lit. The VCR
will then be in the recording pause mode.

6 Start playback of the prerecorded tape with the play-
back side VCR.
If the playback VCR has the I-HQ feature, it should be
switched on during playback.
7 Press the REC button until “REC” lights on the FL dis-
play.
When recording has finished, press the CHANNEL but-
ton to release the VCR from the external mode.
Note:
¢ With this connection, this VCR can be used as either the
recording or playback VCR (we recommend that you use it
for recording).
