Confirm that the microphone is properly connected to the mixer or amplifier and that all cable connectors are securely seated. Inspect the cable for any defects and replace it if necessary. If using phantom power, make sure it is switched on. Lastly, if your microphone uses a battery, verify that it is not dead or missing; replace or insert a new battery as needed.
