(1) Remove fixing screws of air filter housing.
(2) Take out the filter element.
(3) Check the filter element holes. Replace with new filter elements if they are damages.
(4) Clean the air filter elements: wash it in warm soap water and then dry it. Immerse them in
clean gasoline engine oil and then dry air filter elements.
(5) Clean the air filter baffle: clear off dirt on the air filter baffle by gasoline.
(6) Assemble the air filter baffle as shown in the figure.
(7) Assemble the air filter and carburetor as shown in the figure.

4.5.1 Adjustment of clearance between the stator and the rotor
It is required to adjust the clearance between the stator and the rotor when reinstalling stator and
rotor.
1 Loosen stator fixing screws.
2 Insert the feeler to the gap between the stator and the rotor. Press the stator against the
contact surface between the feeler and the rotor and at the same time fasten two screws.
Specified clearance (0.4±0.1) mm
Note: It is required to avoid the magnet on the stator in the process of adjustment.

4.5.2 Rotor
Removal and installation
Note: Do not damage flywheel and blades in dismantling and installing rotors.
Removal: 1) Loosen the stator fixing screws.
2) Remove the stator using a puller.
Note: 1) Do not knock the rotor by a hammer.
3) It is required to avoid the magnet on the stator in placing the puller.
