Read carefully before use:
The operating manual of this trailer
The operating manual of the lawn tractor
or ride-on mower to which the trailer is to
be hitched.
Never allow children or other persons who
are not familiar with the operating manual to
use the trailer.
Children and teenagers should be super-
vised so that they do not play with the
trailer.
Cleaning and maintenance must not be
carried out by children.
Local regulations may specify the mini-
mum age of the user.
In addition to this operating manual, also ob-
serve the generally applicable statutory and
other regulations on accident prevention and
environmental protection.
Remember that you, as the user, are respon-
sible for accidents involving other people or
their property.
Do not work with the trailer in the event of fa-
tigue, illness or after the consumption of alco-
hol, medication or drugs that impair reac-
tions.
Preparatory measures
Always wear sturdy shoes and long trousers
when operating the trailer. Do not operate the
trailer when barefoot or wearing light sandals.
Avoid wearing loose clothing or clothing with
dangling cords or belts.
Before use, check whether attachments may
be hitched to the lawn tractor or ride-on mow-
er. The brakes, in particular, of the lawn trac-
tor or ride-on mower must be suitable for the
higher braking load.
Inspect the trailer for completeness, proper
function and leaks before use.
Never operate a damaged trailer! Contact the
manufacturer or have the trailer inspected by
a qualified mechanic.
Always hitch up the trailer as prescribed. An
incorrectly hitched trailer can come loose
during operation and cause an accident.
Handling
Only work during daylight hours or with good
artificial lighting.
Never put your hands or feet on or under ro-
tating parts.
Do not carry any passengers on the trailer.
Do not exceed the maximum payload indicat-
ed in the technical data.
Adapt the ground travel speed to the ground
on which you are working.
Do not exceed the maximum ground travel
speed indicated in the trailer technical data.
In order to prevent the trailer from tipping
over:
Do not drive on slopes with an inclination
that exceeds the slope specified in the
technical data. Never drive transversely
to the slope, only up and down the slope.
Be especially careful when changing the
direction of travel on a slope.
Do not drive, or drive with particular care,
in difficult terrain where the spreader
could tip over, such as ditches, rivers,
open sewers, dikes and nearby landfill
sites.
Make sure that all moving parts have come to
a complete stop:
before removing blockages or soiling in
the trailer
before inspecting, cleaning or working on
the trailer
Maintenance, storage and transport
Repairs to the trailer must be carried out by
the manufacturer or by one of its customer
service centres.
Make sure that all nuts, bolts and screws are
tightened and the trailer is in a safe working
condition.
