Connecting headphones
You will fi nd a 3.5 mm headphone socket on the right-hand side of the device.
− Insert headphones with a 3.5 mm jack plug into the headphone socket.
When headphones are connected, the speakers are disabled. The volume can still be
controlled to change the headphone volume.
WARNING!
Risk of hearing damage!
To prevent possible damage to or loss of hearing, avoid listening
at high volume over long periods of time.
− Before pressing play, set the volume to the lowest setting.
− Start playback and increase the volume to a comfortable level.
Switching on the device/standby
− Press the button to switch on the device. The display lights up.
− Press the button again to switch the device back into standby mode. The time
will be displayed.
Setting the volume
− Control the volume with the VOLUME control on the right-hand side of the
device. The selected volume level is shown on the display.
