WARNING: Always use the correct voltage: the voltage of the power source must match with the
values on the nameplate of the tool.
Switch ON and OFF (Fig 9 & 10)
WARNING: Always use proper eye protecon that conforms to ANSI Z87.1 (CAN/CSA Z94.3) stan-
dards while operang this machine.
Inspect area to be trimmed and remove any wire, cord, or string-like objects which could become
entangled in the rotang line or spool. Be parcularly careful to avoid any wire which might be
bent outwardly into the path of the tool, such as barbs at the base of a chain link fence.
-To switch the trimmer on, push the lock-o buon and squeeze the switch trigger.
-With the unit on, grasp both handles and angle, slowly swinging the trimmer side to
side.
-To switch the trimmer o, squeeze the switch trigger again.
-Restarng the machine aer complete stop will feed the spool line automacally. Do
not bump unit on ground to feed the line.
Note: Trimming ps
Keep the trimmer lted toward the area being cut, this is the most ecient cung area.
The string trimmer cuts when moving the unit from le to right. This will avoid throwing debris
at the operator.
Use the p of the string to do the cung, do not force string head into uncut grass.
Wire and picket fences cause extra string wear, even breakage. Stone and brick walls, curbs and
wood may wear string rapidly.
Avoid trees and shrubs. Tree bark, wood moldings, siding and fence posts can easily be damaged
by the strings.
