8. Residual risks
Despite being used properly, certain residual risk factors cannot
be completely ruled out. The following risks associated with the
design and construction of the wet & dry vacuum cleaner may
apply:
– Contact with material being drawn into the suction hose or
accessories fitted to the hose (cutting/abrasion hazards).
– Unforeseen static electricity may build up whilst using this
vacuum cleaner, which may pass a static electric shock to the
user. There is a piece of chain (Fig. 5b - item
Z
) on the bottom
of the tank base to help prevent static build-up during use.
– Inhaling of work material particles or dust. (Danger of
poisoning).
– The appliance must be used correctly.
– The machine must be correctly maintained and the metal tank
emptied, and the filters cleaned or replaced, as necessary.
– The correct filters must be used depending on wet, or dry use.
The filters must be in a good condition, with no holes in the
materials.
