Why is there no sound coming from my Alesis SR-16 Drums?

  If your Alesis Drums produce no sound, several factors could be at play. First, check if the volume knob is at its minimum position and turn it clockwise to increase the volume. A faulty audio cable can also cause this issue, so try replacing it with a known good one. Additionally, ensure that the pads are set to the correct outputs in the Drum Set setup. Finally, verify the mix volumes in the Drum Set and increase them if necessary.

  If the sound from your Alesis Drums is distorted, the mix volumes might be set too high. Check the Drum Set and decrease the mix volume(s) if necessary. Also, the SR-16 output level might be too high, overdriving the receiver input. In this case, reduce the overall volume or the drum set mix levels.

  If your Alesis Drums are not panning correctly in the stereo field, the drum set panning parameters might be set incorrectly. Refer to section 4.4 to set the Drum Set panning correctly. Additionally, check the cables by replacing them with known good cables. Effects processors or mixing consoles used with the SR-16 might also be corrupting the stereo mix.
