5 Initial operation

To comply with the specified EMC limits, the controller requires functional grounding via the PoE
device and the patch cable.
Procedure
n
Make sure that the PoE device is functionally grounded
n
Ground PoE devices without functional grounding via existing soldering lugs or screw
terminals
n
Ground the shields of the bus cables via terminal strip KL.4
Redundant power supply
To supply the controller with redundant power, you need an external 18 V DC ; 1 A power supply unit.
Should the power supply via Ethernet (PoE) fail, the controller automatically switches to power supply via
power supply unit.
For redundant power supply, the jumper must be set to PoE.
5 Initial operation
With the appropriate accessories, the following options are available for connecting the host computer to
the controller:

Via WLAN with the IF-ServiceApp 75-99-0013
n
Via service interface or USB
