6 Updating the software
There are two ways to update the controller software:

Via the IF-6040 system (version 8.3 or higher)
n
Via the PuTTY program package using batch files
Preparation
To update the software on the controller via batch files, the current version of the PuTTY program
package must be installed on the service PC. This is a free open source SSH and Rlogin client that
allows remote control of Unix systems by Windows computers.
The path for the programs pscp.exe and plink.exe (part of PuTTY) is defined in the batch file
s_setpathvars.bat. Here you will also find the system password.
1. Open s_setpathvars.bat in an editor and enter the system password
2. Adjust the paths for the programs pscp.exe and plink.exe if required, for example if you have
saved PuTTY on a USB stick
3. Start cmd.exe and run the desired batch file
A detailed list of the batch files and the associated call parameters is available from Interflex on request.
To avoid errors, the files to be updated and the batch files should be located in the same folder.
