thatcontroltheon/offstateoftheneededinput(s)thatinturnallow
theenabledI/Ofunctiontoswitchtoonoroff.Eachinput(s)mustbe
wiredtothecorrectvehiclecircuitsandthecorrectTCMpinsthrough
thecorrectOEMsuppliedswitches,relays,connectors,andother
componentsasneeded.
•Variousvehiclecontrollerdatalinkmessagesfromvariouscontrollerson
thevehiclecommunicationsdatalinksuchasSAEJ1939.
•Useofmonitoredvehicleand/ortransmissiondatasuchas,
temperatures,variousspeeds,andspecicrangeattainedthatarethen
comparedwithprogramlimitsandCMCparameterswithintheTCMto
turntheI/Ofunctiononandoff.
VariouscombinationsoftheseI/OfunctionsareassembledintoI/Opackages.
TheI/OpackageiscontainedinyourTCMaspartofitscalibrationand
softwarefortheexactvocationofyourvehicle.Thisstrategyallowsthe
vehicleOEM(s)maximumexibilityforchoosingwhichI/Ofunctionsand
discreteinputcircuits,labeledbywirenumberandTCMpinassignments,
theywanttocontroltheI/Ofunctionsonyourvehicle.Toprovideexibilityto
theOEM(s)andcustomer,specicdiscreteinputcircuitstospecicTCMpins
varybetweenvocationsandI/Opackages.
ThecalibrationofeachTCM,whichalsocontainstheprogrammingofhow
yourI/Oisconguredbythepackage,wasselectedforyourvehiclebyyour
vehicleOEM.Totacustomer'sexactI/Orequirementfortheirvehicleit
maybenecessaryfortheTCMtohaveindividualI/Ofunctionsorpackages
re-programmed,orpossiblyrecalibratetheTCM,foradifferentI/Opackage.
Youwillhavetotakeyourvehicletoaqualiedtechnicianifyouneedto
determinewhatI/OhasbeenenabledordisabledbyyourOEM,bodybuilder,
