7.2 Trouble shooting
TROUBLE CONDITION CAUSES COUNTERMEASURES
A. Power is not on. 1. Power cable is disconnected.
2. Misconnection of power cable.
3. Burning of connecting part in power
outlet or breaker.
1. Be sure to connect cable.
2. Be sure to connect cable properly.
3. Contact local distributor.
B. Power is on, but the breaker has tripped
immediately.
1. Electrical leakage.
1-1. Insulation deterioration of heating
element.
1-2. Water leakage at attaching portion of
heating element.
1-3. Water seeping into breaker.
2. Short circuit.
2-1. Short circuit of heating element.
2-2. Short circuit of others.
1. Contact local distributor.
2. Contact local distributor.
C. After pressing START KEY, chamber
temperature does not rise.
1. Breakage of heating element.
2. Burning of wire connected to heating
element
1. Contact local distributor.
2. Contact local distributor.
D. When pressing START KEY, error sound
beeping and operation does not start.
1. Completion process of previous operation
is not reset.
1. Press STOP KEY to reset completion
process of previous operation.
Then press START KEY again.
E. The temperature in chamber rises, but it
does not rise to setting temperature.
1. Wrong electricity supply. 1. Check the required voltage of autoclave,
then supply proper electricity to the
autoclave.
F. The temperature in chamber rises to the
set temperature, but sterilization has
not been completed due to inside the
chamber does not become filled with
saturated steam.
1. Too much capacity of objects in chamber.
2. Shortage of sterilization time.
3. Residual air inside container prevents
penetration of steam.
4. Air evacuation is insufficient due to bent
exhaust hose.
1. Quantity of objects to be put inside of
chamber shall be less than 60% of capacity
of the chamber. And each objects must
keep enough space between them.
2. Increase sterilization time appropriately
in case of sterilization of liquid objects
and objects being large quantity.
3-1. In case of objects being put in a
disposable plastic bag, quantity of
objects to be put inside disposable
plastic bag shall be less than 60% of
capacity of the chamber. Disposable
plastic bag must have open mouth.
3-2. Containers shall not be superimposed
each other as possible as you can.
Then set its open mouth downward.
4. Do not bend exhaust hose.
G. Evacuating residual air does not stop
around 100℃. And the temperature
does not rise.
1. Breakage of exhaust valve.
2. This autoclave is installed over 1000m
above sea level.
1. Contact local distributor.
2. This autoclave can not be used over
1000m above sea level.
H. Abnormal noise. 1. Dusts are attached to lid gasket.
2. Lid is out of alignment forcibly.
1. Stop operation and take away dusts.
2. Contact local distributor.
I. Steam leakage from lid. 1. Deterioration of lid gasket.
(cracks in the gasket or hardening)
2. Lid and chamber are out of alignment
caused by lid opened too much or moving
main body holding only lid.
1. Contact local distributor.
2. Contact local distributor.
J. No drainage. 1. Drain pipe is choked. 1. Contact local distributor.
K. Drainage does not stop. 1. Breakage of drain valve.
(Piece of glass or other objects came into
valve and damaged “Teflon ball” of valve.)
