subwoofer
ON/OFF
switch

(shown
by
the
FADER
Position
Indicator

pushing
the
FADER/Sub-
woofer
Level/Crossover
Point
Control
mode
switch.

the
FADER
Position
Indicator
is
blinking,
adjust
sound
balance
between
the
Front
and
Rear
channels
by
pushing
the
UP-DOWN
Touch

switch.
Presetting
Frequency

MEMORY
switch.
Turn
on
the
power
of
the
main
unit.
The
3318
is
turned
on
simultaneously.

Play
your
favorite
type
of
music
(classic,
jazz,
folk,
etc.)
using
the
tuner
or
tape
player.

Adjust
the
volume
and
tone
controls
on
the
tuner
or
tape
deck,
and
make
fader
adjustment
on
the
3318
as
desired.

Adjust
the
frequency
bands,
as
described
in
the
section
“Equalizer
Control"’.
The
switch
will
light
up
in
amber.

Press
one
of
the

onto
which
you
want
to
memorize
the
equalization
curve.

erased

the
new
one
is
memorized.
Subwoofer
Featuring
an
subwoofer
output
connector,
output
level
control,
stereo/mono
switch,
phase
switch
and
crossover
frequency
selector,
the
3318
is
ready
for
connection
of
any
subwoofer
system.

When
the
power
of
the
main
unit
is
turned
on
or
off
power
to
3318
is
also
turned
on
or
off.
When
the
3318
is
turned
on
with
the
Subwoofer
ON/OFF
switch
turned
OFF,
the
Crossover
Point
and
Subwoofer
Output
Level
indicators
will
not
light.
In
this
case,
the
full
frequency
range
is
sent
to
the
regular
front
and
rear
amplifier
outputs,
and
no
signal
is
sent
to
the
subwoofer
output.

Turning
ON
the
Subwoofer
ON/OFF
switch,
the
Crossover
Point
and
Subwoofer
Output
Level
indicators
will
light.
The
low
frequency
signals
will
now
be
sent
to
the
subwoofer
output
and
only
the
frequency
range
above
the
crossover
point
selected
will
be
sent
to
the
regular
front
and
rear
amplifier
outputs.

crossover
frequency
point
can
be
selected
by
first
pressing
the
Mode
Selector
switch
until
the
Subwoofer
Output
Level
indicator
light.
Then
press
the
UP/DOWN
touch
control
switches
to
select
the
desired
crossover
fre-
quency
point:
50
Hz,
80
Hz
or
120
Hz.

Adjust
the
subwoofer
output
level
by
pressing
the
Mode
Selector
switch
until
the
Subwoofer
Output
Level
indicator
light.
Then
press
the
UP/DOWN
touch
control
switches
to
set
an
appropriate
output
level.
