Usage Features

The dispenser is designed for straightforward installation and operation.

Installation:

  1. Preparation: Identify a vertical, clean, and smooth mounting surface. Ensure adequate clearance above the dispenser for accessing the cover lock key and no obstructions within the sensor's range below the unit. It is recommended to test the unit's operation by holding it in place before permanent installation.
  2. Mounting Considerations: Avoid installing the dispenser near highly reflective objects (mirrors, stainless steel washbasins) to prevent sensor malfunction. If installed near a wash basin, a minimum distance of 9.8" (250MM) from the dispenser's bottom to the basin desk is required.
  3. Drilling: Drill four holes (6x18MM, 15/64" Dia. x 45/64" deep) for the supplied wall anchors. Install the anchors flush with the wall or use an alternative fastening system suitable for the wall conditions (not supplied).
  4. Attachment: Secure the dispenser to the wall.
  5. Battery Installation: Open the dispenser cover using the unit key. Insert four AA/LR6 alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity.
  6. Refilling: The dispenser features a removable soap tank. Fill the tank with the appropriate liquid or gel soap/sanitizer.
  7. Assembly: Reinsert the filled soap tank into the dispenser, ensuring it is properly seated in the hanging bracket. Close and lock the cover.
  8. Power On: Switch the dispenser to the "ON" position.

Basic Use:

  • The dispenser operates automatically when hands are placed within the sensor's range.
  • For initial use or after a prolonged period of inactivity, activate the sensor manually several times to clear any air from the dispensing pipe. This ensures consistent dispensing.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the dispenser.

General Cleaning Tips:

  • Detergent Use: Apply neutral detergents (non-ionic surfactants and citric acid) with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cloths, as they can scratch the surface.
  • Rinsing: Rinse the surface thoroughly with water until all detergent residue is gone.
  • Residue Prevention: Promptly rinse off any residue from hygiene products (liquid soap, shampoos, bath gel) with plenty of water to prevent surface damage.
  • Limescale Prevention: Dry the surface with a soft cloth after use to prevent limescale stains.

Specific Cleaning Tips:

  • Limescale Removal: For limescale stains from water, apply a solution of one part vinegar and three parts water directly to the stains. Let it sit for a few minutes, then rub with a soft cloth or damp sponge. Finish with a thorough rinse using plenty of water and neutral soap.

Unacceptable Practices (Voiding Warranty):

  • Do not use detergents containing abrasive products, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite (bleach), or formic acid.
  • Avoid abrasive utensils such as metal scouring pads or abrasive sponges.
  • Do not spray detergent directly onto the surface, as liquids can seep into openings or cracks and cause damage.
  • Do not use anti-limescale and descaling cleaning products.
  • Do not use silver cleaners or products containing chlorides.

Troubleshooting:

  • Soap Not Dispensing:
    • Check soap quality, properties, and level in the tank.
    • Ensure the sensor cover is free of dirt.
    • Verify battery charge level.
    • Check for clogs in the spout nozzle and dispensing tube.
    • Confirm the ON/OFF switch is in the correct position.
    • Ensure the soap tank is correctly seated in the hanging bracket.
    • Activate the sensor several times, especially after long periods of disuse, to clear blockages in the pipe.
  • Low Quantities of Soap Dispensed:
    • Remove the soap tank and wash out the spout nozzle.
    • Clean the dispenser tube with water.
    • Check if the tube is loose or cross-threaded.
  • Soap Leaking:
    • Check for leakage from the soap tank.
    • Verify that the dispenser tube connection is secure.
    • Inspect the disposable soap pump for defects or if it needs replacement.
