removal
of
the
7281
M,
while
still
maintaining
memory
backup.
The
7281M
may
then
be
hidden
elsewhere
in
the
car
or
carried
with
the
owner
for
theft
prevention.
This
bracket
also
provides
for
easy
re-
installation
of
the
unit.
IGNITION
“KEY-OFF”
PAUSE
The
tape
disengages
from
the
tape
head,
capstan,
and
pinch
roller
when
the
ignition
is
turned
off,
but
it
remains
inside
the
cassette
compartment.
AUTO
METAL
When
a
metal
cassette
tape
is
inserted,
the
tape
mechanism
automatically
adjusts
to
metal
tape
equalization.
AUTO
TUNE
SELECT
SWITCH
This
switch
is
for
selecting
between
the
SEEK
and
MANUAL
Tuning
modes.
AUTO
UP/DOWN
SEEK
Automatically
tunes
to
the
next
higher
frequency
or
lower
frequency
and
locks
on
that
Station.
PRESET
ADDRESS
The
preset
number
is
displayed
in
the
LCD,
next
to
its
assigned
station
frequency
(in
the
radio
mode).
BI-LEVEL
CAPABILITY
This
Bi-Level
unit
features
both
speaker
level
outputs,
and
pre-amp
level
outputs
that
are
compatible
with
Alpine
signal
processors
and
amplifiers.
Availability
of
these
two
different
types
of
outputs
not
only
makes
a
start-up
simple
system
possible,
but
also
eases
future
upgrades
and
expansion.
