the
unit
from
the
bracket.
2.
Connect
the
lead
wires
coming
from
the
left
rear
of
the
bracket
by
referring
to
the
Connection
Section,
then
slide
the
bracket
into
the
dashboard.
Bend
out
the
tabs
along
the
top,
bottom,
and
sides
of
the
bracket
to
strengthen
the
mounting.
3.
Install
the
metal
mounting
(back)
strap
supplied,
as
shown
in
Fig.
3.
The
strap
can
be
attached
to
the
vehicle
above
or
below
the
QRB
bracket.
4.
Fully
insert
the
unit
into
the
bracket
and
push
the
handle
downward
to
lock
the
unit.
To
remove
the
unit,
raise
the
handle
to
unlock
the
pins,
and
firmly
pull
the
unit
toward
you.
If
the
handle
is
not
easy
to

press
the

2.
Always
reinforce
the

a

bracket
with
the
metal
mounting
strap
(Fig.

Otherwise,
after
repeated

of
the

the

may
become
loose
in
the

the

This
is
especially
necessary
in
the
case
of
excessive

collision
because
the
unit
may
come
out
of
the
bracket
if
it
is
not
locked
into
place
(Fig.
6).
This
could
result
in
personal
injury
to

of
the

or
physical
damage
to
the
unit.
