@ BASIC OPERATION
Initial System Start (Bus line reset)
When connecting a changer to an existing system, it is a good idea to reset the bus line
from the head unit to make sure the changer is powered up in the proper stand-by state.
To do this, press and hold the DISC ( »/#H ) button @ for at least 3 seconds. Reduce the
volume of your system before resetting since a loud noise may occur.

1. Turn On the system by pushing the PWR button © or any other button
(other than Eject © or CLOCK @).
2. Press the Audio MODE Select switch @ to select each adjusting mode.

Each time this switch is pressed, the mode changes. The mode is indicated in the
display. The mode indicator changes as each mode is selected.
3. While each mode indicator is ON, press the Audio Up button @® or Down button @)
5 seconds after adjusting, the indication returns to VOL. The Audio Up button @ and
Audio Down button @) then operate to adjust the volume only.
Power Off
Press the PWR button @ to turn the unit Off.
Loudness
1.
Press

hold
the
LOUD
button

for
more
than

seconds
to
activate
the
loudness
‘function.
2.
Press
and
hold
the
LOUD
button

for
more
than
2
seconds
again
to
defeat
this
feature.
Mode Switching of the 7514M/7514L/7513M/7513L
1. Radio Mode
Press
the
BAND
button
@
to
put
the
unit
into
the
radio
mode.
The
Band
indicator
(FM1, FM2 or MW/LW) will appear in the display.
2. Cassette Player Mode
Press the TAPE button 4 to put the unit into the cassette player mode.
3. CD Shuttle Mode
Press the DISC button 4 to put the unit into the CD mode.

S.T.M. (Source Tone Memory)
The
Bass
and
Treble
controls
can
be
individually
set
for
each
source
(FM,
MW/LW,
Tape,
and
CD).
Once
set,
their
positions
are
automatically
memorized.
Whenever
the
source
is
reselected,
the
Bass
and
Treble
controls
will
return
to
your
preset
configuration.
Four
preset
volume
levels
can
be
set
for
traffic
information
reception
in
the
SDK
mode.

Stations can be tuned in using the procedures described below.
1.
Select
the
tuning
band
(FM1,
FM2,
MW
or
LW)
with
the
BAND
button
@.
The
Band
indicator shows your selection.

2. Decreasing the frequency:
The
frequency
is
decreased
by
one
step
each
time
the
DN
switch
@
is
pressed.
By
pressing
and
holding
the
switch
for
at
least
0.5
seconds,
the
unit
will
automatically
tune
the
first
station
it
finds
in
the
direction
of
decreasing
frequency.
3. Increasing the frequency:
The
frequency
is
increased
by
one
step
each
time
the
UP
switch
@
is
pressed.
By
pressing
and
holding
the
switch
for
at
least
0.5
seconds,
the
unit
will
automatically
tune to the first station it finds in the direction of increasing frequency.
