Eternity Tabletop Fountain:
Stacked Rocks
Limited Warranty Information
Thank you for choosing an Alpine product! We aim to please with our wide range of products
including Fountains, Birdbaths, Statuary, Pond Supplies & More. All of our products are constructed
from the highest quality materials. In the event that we have not achieved our usual standard of
excellence, we will repair or replace, at our discretion, within the warranty period. A valid proof of
purchase, with the purchase date clearly indicated, must be provided. Photos of defective
merchandise will also be required to help distinguish the actual cause of the defect. Please read
below for a detailed description of warranty coverage.
Water Damage
Alpine products are not manufactured to withstand extreme temperatures. Improper
storage that allows water to freeze within a product may cause damage and is considered
negligence and will, therefore not be covered under this warranty. The use of “hard water”
and/or caustic cleaners can affect the paint or other finishes. Failure to keep the unit clean,
and use of such additives/cleaners, will also void the warranty. Please note: for fountains,
it is normal for some splashing to occur and protecting the immediate surfaces is not the
responsibility of Alpine Corporation
Paint & Color (Retention and/or Loss)
The use of water will cause natural erosion to the color. This area can be touched up
using standard paint. The paint is designed to protect the entire finish against breakdown
of color. As with any product, all finishes with time will gradually fade and discolor. The
warranty will only cover against severe or complete fading within the first year from date of
purchase with the above exclusion.
Procedure/Service
Should a warranty/claim be needed, you should contact the retailer from whom you
purchased the product. If that is not an option, you can contact Alpine Corporation at
www.alpine4u.com. When contacting Alpine Corporation, you must be prepared to
show proof of purchase, provide photographs and any other information needed to
validate your claim. This may be necessary to distinguish between a partial or complete
replacement of a defective product. The warranty does not cover any items with multiple
parts; the warranty will ONLY cover the individual component of the unit/item that may be
defective. Replacement parts can be made available to a consumer through the original
selling party, or an approved parts retailer. If this is not an option, contact our customer
service department.
Not Covered Under Warranty
The limited warranty will NOT cover cases of damages due to
1. Damages caused in Transit
2. Inadequate care and/or neglect
3. Environmental and/or natural elements
4. Immersion in water, unless specified
5. Improper Installation/Storage and/or Maintenance
This warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident, misuse, negligence, improper
installation and/or modifications have occurred. This includes any and/or all defects arising out of
freezing water damage, hard water damage, failure to keep the unit clean and free of harmful
additives such as bleach, chlorine, etc…. which affects the paint and/or parts. This warranty also
does not cover any additional charges or installation, removal, disposal and/or shipping costs or
consequential damage associated with any warranty claim

Overview

This document describes the Alpine TT8002 Eternity Tabletop Fountain: Stacked Rocks, a decorative water feature designed for indoor or outdoor use.

Function Description:

The Alpine TT8002 is a tabletop fountain that creates a soothing ambiance through the gentle flow of water over a stacked rock design. It consists of a fountain top (stacked rock design), a fountain base, and a submersible pump. Water is circulated from the base, through the pump, and up to the top of the stacked rocks, where it cascades down into the basin, creating a continuous water flow. The fountain is designed to be aesthetically pleasing and provide a calming effect through the sight and sound of moving water.

Important Technical Specifications:

While specific voltage, wattage, and pump flow rates are not explicitly detailed, the manual implies standard electrical operation for the submersible pump, which connects to a local power supply. It warns against exceeding the maximum voltage and wattage on the transformer (if applicable) and emphasizes the importance of a dry power source area. The fountain is not designed to withstand extreme temperatures, and improper storage allowing water to freeze can cause damage. It is recommended to use distilled water to prevent scale build-up and to avoid operating with water above 90°F (30°C).

Usage Features:

  • Assembly: The fountain requires simple assembly. The flexible vinyl tubing connects to the pump fitting, which is then placed in the bottom of the base. The fountain top is placed onto the base.
  • Water Filling: Water should be gently poured into the fountain, ensuring the pump is completely submerged and the water runs clear. Overfilling should be avoided to prevent splashing.
  • Power Connection: The pump cord is plugged into a local power supply. It is crucial to ensure no water is around the plug and to keep the power source in a dry place.
  • Initial Operation: When first operated, it may take up to 5 minutes for air to be expelled from the pump before water begins to flow properly.
  • Water Quality: The use of distilled water is recommended to prevent scale build-up. The manual explicitly states that the fountain should be used with clean water only and should not be placed in any other liquid.
  • Troubleshooting (Pump Failure): If the pump fails to run, users should check the circuit breaker or try a different outlet, inspect the pump discharge and tubing for kinks or obstructions, flush any build-up with a garden hose, and check the rotor for jamming or breakage.
  • Troubleshooting (Pump "Spews"): If the pump "spews," the water level should be checked to ensure the pump is completely submerged and there is enough water in the basin. Insufficient water causes spewing.
  • Troubleshooting (Abnormal Loud Noises): If the pump makes abnormal loud noises, users should disconnect the pump, remove the front cover and plate, carefully remove the impeller/rotor assembly, and rinse it with clean water. If breakage or damage is found, contact the retailer for parts.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: The pump should always be unplugged from the electrical outlet before cleaning or handling. Periodically changing the water and cleaning the pump is necessary to keep it free from micro-organisms. The manual recommends using Alpine's all-natural cleansing formula to eliminate foam, lime scale, calcium buildup, fight mineral deposits, keep water crystal clear, prevent staining, remove organic contaminants, and treat discolored water. This formula also helps prevent pump damage due to hard water build-up. Specific product recommendations are given based on fountain size: PPL100 for fountains holding up to 7 liters of water, and PPL102 for fountains holding over 7 liters of water. More information is available at www.alpine4u.com.
  • Storage: When not in use for an extended period, the unit should be disconnected and stored in a dry place.
  • Water Damage Prevention: Alpine products are not designed to withstand extreme temperatures. Improper storage allowing water to freeze within the product can cause damage and is considered negligence, voiding the warranty. The use of "hard water" and/or caustic cleaners can affect the paint and other finishes. Failure to keep the unit clean and use appropriate additives/cleaners will also void the warranty.
  • Paint & Color Maintenance: The use of water will naturally cause erosion to the color, which can be touched up with standard paint. The paint is designed to protect the finish against color breakdown. However, all finishes will gradually fade and discolor over time. The warranty covers severe or complete fading only within the first year from the date of purchase, excluding natural erosion.
  • Warranty Information: A limited warranty is provided, requiring a valid proof of purchase with the date clearly indicated, and photos of defective merchandise. The warranty covers individual defective components, not multiple parts. It does not cover damages due to transit, inadequate care/neglect, environmental/natural elements, immersion in water (unless specified), improper installation/storage/maintenance, accident, misuse, negligence, improper installation, or modifications. Damages from freezing water, hard water, failure to keep the unit clean, and use of harmful additives (e.g., bleach, chlorine) are also not covered. The warranty does not cover additional charges for installation, removal, disposal, shipping, or consequential damage.
